Manchmal braucht es jemand anderen, um zu merken, Manchmal braucht es jemand anderen, um zu merken, was man die ganze Zeit verpasst hat. In meinem Fall war das Team von EGO Movement, eine Schweizer E-Bike-Marke, das mich zu einer Testfahrt in Basel einlud. Da ich mich aus fehlendem Interesse an Technik von allem fernhalte, was einen Akku hat und eine Bedienungsanleitung mitliefert, hielten sich meine Erwartungen sehr in Grenzen, um es höflich auszudrücken. Was mich neben dem verblüffend einfachen Handling des E-Bikes wirklich überraschte, war die Tatsache, dass ich damit auf der Strasse angesprochen wurde. Von einem Fremden, der mir ein Kompliment machte für mein Gefährt. Ohne zu wissen, dass es sich um eine Testfahrt handelte, die ich zunächst gar nicht machen wollte. Und dann viele schöne Erfahrungen verpasst hätte. Wer also wie ich dachte, E-Bikes seien schwer, kompliziert und irgendwie nichts für den eigenen Alltag: Eine Testfahrt bei @egomovement ist jederzeit möglich. Rund eine Stunde habe ich eingeplant für die Testf Rund eine Stunde habe ich eingeplant für die Testfahrt mit einem E-Bike von @egomovement. Eigentlich. Doch dann wurde es Nachmittag. Weil sich meine ursprünglichen Vorurteile – zu viele Knöpfe, zu viel Technik! Zu schwerfällig! – bereits nach wenigen Momenten als derart unbegründet erwiesen, dass ich spontan zahlreiche Umwege einlegte. Unterwegs sogar von einem fremenden Mann auf mein schönes E-Bike angesprochen wurde (true story!). Und dabei nicht nur die Stadt aus einer neuen Perspektive erlebte, sondern ganz nebenbei auch lernte, wie hoch der Spassfaktor ist, wenn man etwas Neues ausprobiert.
