🥭 There are over 1'000 different varieties of mango worldwide! They differ in the size of the fruit, colour and consistency of the flesh, growing region and taste.
🥭 Mangoes are good for freezing fruit that has been bought in advance. To do this, they should be peeled and diced.
🥭 Although the mango is originally a tropical fruit, it is also grown in Europe. The largest growing areas are in Spain on the Costa del Sol and on the Canary Islands.
🥭 A basket of mangos is considered a gesture of friendship in India.
🥭 Legend says that Buddha meditated under the cool shade of a mango tree.
🥭 Mangos are related to cashews and pistachios.
🥭 The ideal harvest practice that achieves optimal fruit quality is the method of removing fruits from the trees by hand-picking them rather just befor ripening, at the hightest concentration of active ingredients.
🥭 Mango seed oil can be obtained from the oils of the mango seed. It is similar to cocoa butter and often used in chocolate, desserts and margarine.
🥭 Used in hair, Mango seed oil seals in moisture, reduces breakage and hair loss by strengthening hair follicles, while encouraging the growth of stronger, healthier hair.
