A few personal recommendations for Bologna. Mostly A few personal recommendations for Bologna. Mostly (but not only) food. Obviously.

📍Botanical Lab Cucoina
→ Order the vegan chocolate cheese cake.

📍Piazza Maggiore | Sotto le Stelle del Cinemame
→ Free (!) Open AIr Cinema during the summer months, perfect for after dinner entertainment

📍La Sorbetteria Castiglione
→ Classic Bologna gelateria. Loved the pistachio and chocolate sorbet. Warning: it melts fast, no time for perfect selfies.

📍FARM | Caffè, Aperitivo e Brunch
→ Cozy modern café with long brunch hours and great vegetarian options. The avo toast was 10/10.

📍Portico di San Luca
Almost 3.8 km under 666 arches leading to the Santuario di San Luca. At a steady pace it’s a beautiful workout.

📍Studio Pilates Bologna
→ Proof that a Bologna itinerary can include more than eating. Small classes, so book ahead.

📍Quadrilatero Market
→ Come hungry. Pick up fresh fruit or a platter of local specialties and soak up the atmosphere.

📍Dal Piadinaro
→ Handmade piadinas fresh from scratch. Loved the vegetarian options too.

📍Bologna
→ The city was amazing, but the company was the highlight.

A special thank you to the OG of Fiat 500 tours, who made the whole experience feel personal with stories only a local would know.

Life lately: A lot has happened. Beautiful moments Life lately: A lot has happened. Beautiful moments, amazing news and also a period of uncertainty while waiting for an important message.

As relieved as I was about the positive outcome, the biggest gift was realising how many wonderful humans I have in my life: Every message, every check-in, every person who kept their fingers crossed meant more than they probably realise.

One of my biggest takeaways from these past few weeks is therefore something we all know, but probably can’t hear often enough: enjoy the good moments, appreciate the people who make life better and tell them how much they mean to us.

Last slide: this is what I mean...

Judging by the second photo, my love of books star Judging by the second photo, my love of books started early. These are five recent reads that kept me turning pages and are well worth packing this summer.

📚 Park Avenue by Renée Ahdieh

Behind the polished world of Manhattan’s elite lies a story about ambition, family ties and secrets. Glamorous settings, complicated characters and hidden tensions make it an intriguing read for anyone who enjoys sophisticated drama.

📚 Summer Island by Kristin Hannah

Family relationships, old wounds and the chance to reconnect shape this emotional story. If you love novels about the people closest to us and the things we only understand differently with time, Kristin Hannah delivers a moving read.

📚 I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue

Office life, digital communication and unexpected connections collide in this witty contemporary read. Humour, awkward moments and deeper questions about loneliness and belonging come together in a smart story about modern relationships.

📚 The Correspondent by Virginia Evans

Told through letters, the novel follows an older woman reflecting on memories, relationships and the choices that shaped her life. With its unusual format and thoughtful storytelling, it is a beautiful choice for readers who enjoy quieter, character driven novels.

📚 You Manifest You by Cloudy Zakrocki

A holiday is often the perfect moment for a little reset. With reflections around mindset, self discovery and creating more intention in everyday life, it is a lovely companion for moments when you want to pause and reconnect with yourself.

Ps: If you could recommend just one book, which would it be?

The sunscreen hype machine is working overtime. My The sunscreen hype machine is working overtime. My standards are not.

After more than two decades in the beauty industry, I’ve learned that expensive doesn’t automatically mean better, trendy doesn’t always mean innovative, and viral definitely doesn’t equal brilliant.

When a new SPF launch catches my attention, it has to be more than just a pretty addition to an Instagram feed or another product riding the TikTok wave. I look for formulas that bring something genuinely interesting to the table, whether it’s a smarter texture, a better user experience or meaningful innovation.

With this in mind, I’ve selected the newest SPF launches that convinced me beyond clever marketing and social media buzz. The full story, including my favourites and why they made the cut, is waiting for you on sonrisa.ch.

Summer is here and suddenly everyone is running, h Summer is here and suddenly everyone is running, hiking, cycling, swimming, dancing or discovering muscles they forgot they had.

I fully support this movement.

My legs, however, recently filed an official complaint after a few early morning runs at Mallorca and some extra Pilates classes left me sorer than I’d been in ages.

If muscle soreness has recently also become part of your personality, here is what helps me most:

➡️ Keep moving instead of becoming one with the sofa

➡️ Make protein your post workout habit.

➡️ A few minutes with a fascia roller can do wonders

➡️ Supplement wisely*: amino acids help support muscle repair after training; creatine helps your energy come back faster, and magnesium is my evening go to when everything feels tight and slightly overdramatic.

➡️ Drink water like your muscles are tiny divas (because they are)

➡️ Sleep is the real cheat code. Aim for a solid night so your body can actually do the repair work

Save these tips and your future self will thank you. Especially when sitting down.

*I get my supplements from @mrsflury_shop because everything is clean, nutritionist formulated and simply well put together, which makes it an easy choice.
